What is Best Buy's employee discount on computers?

I'm looking into buying a MacBook Air and didn't know if employees got a good deal or not. It's $1799 retail.

1. I believe they pay 3% or 6% above COST. Markups differ on all items so you'd truly have to find someone you know that works there to get an exact price.
2. dont get that computer, it sucks, you'll end droping another 600 on it just to get it up were average ones are at, and it only has one usb port.
3. I think the discount for employees is110% if you steal the computer and then take 10% of the purchase price in cash out of the cash register...
4. I prefer Circuitcity!!! sometimes it has a better deals than bestbuy!!!
5. honestly i would strongly discourage the purchase of a macbook air. the computers performance and specs really suck for the price. never buy a computer just for looks. always go for storage and performance. the only angle point of selling they have is looks and the fact that it is slim. in fact, you can make any other laptop look just like a mac. for the exterior, find a good air brusher and have him paint it white, shiny and smooth (glossy).and as far as operating systems go, personally, i prefer windows just for compatibility. mac sucks on compatibility. have a fun time finding anything compatible with mac. but i'm knocking the mac osx OS. it's really user friendly and easy on the eye. and if you prefer the mac osx OS, i recommend buying a really nice spec laptop for about 600 dollars less. then just download a mac osx OS torrent, burn the disc and install. voila, you have the mac osx OS, the white outer case, and the specs that blow the doors off of a mac. and if you're wise and listen to me about keeping windows, just download and install desktop x. it comes with multiple programs like windowblinds 6, cursor xp, etcetera. point is, you can download different themes like oh say, mac osx. when i tried out the mac osx theme, people really thought i had a mac operating system. in fact once for a friend i painted his case white w/ the apple logo, made two partitions on his hard drive, and installed windows vista on one and mac osx 10.4 on the other. so he has the best of both worlds. long story short, the macbook air is a rip off. your only paying for the looks and the name which is really stupid. if you're interested in converting a standard laptop into a mac, just contact me.
